Apple releases iPhone OS 3.1.3

Apple today released iPhone OS 3.1.3 for iPhone and iPod touch which contians bug fixes and improvements, including the following:

• Improves accuracy of reported battery level on iPhone 3GS
• Resolves issue where third-party apps would not launch in some instances
• Fixes bug that may cause an app to crash when using the Japanese Kana keyboard

Products compatible with this software update:
• iPhone (all models)
• iPod touch (all models)

To update, select your device in iTunes and choose “Update” within the “Summary” tab.

Taking iPhone to New Depths

At DOER Marine, a California company that designs and builds subsea vehicles, engineers are working to create a manned vehicle that can explore the ocean floor. VP of Operations Ian Griffith credits iPhone for keeping their engineering team responsive and nimble enough to make it happen — no matter where they are in the world. “The iPhone accelerates how we perform as a team,” says Griffith.

What backlash? iPhone 3GS users very satisfied, survey says

With all the Apple-bashing lately, you’d think that iPhone users—typically a satisfied lot—might be a little less thrilled with their chosen smartphone. Not so, according to a new survey by RBC/IQ ChangeWave. The market researcher polled iPhone 3GS owners and found that an astounding 99 percent of 200 respondents were satisfied with the device. And 82 percent said they were “very satisfied” with the 3GS.

That’s not a backlash, that’s love fest.
